Portrait of the Artist as a Lone Tree | Family | |
Chortlechops
With sympathy for all parents of children with autism and much love for a wonderful son. |
Chortlechops -
little boy;
Daddy's own
pride and joy.
When I'm there,
full of fun -
pleased to see
everyone.
In a world
far away -
son, do please
come and play?
Lost in this
crowded room,
all alone,
sunk in gloom.
When we meet,
any place,
we both know
heaven's grace.
Small and sweet -
choc'late drops?
Daddy's boy,
Chortlechops!

(This is written in a similar manner to Marot's 'Ma mignonne'.
'Chops' - an English expression referring to the face or cheeks, sometimes used with other words as a term of endearment.) |
